No, Earned Wage Access gives access to money that has already been earned by staff but not yet paid. Advancia’s platform links with employers’ payroll software to provide Earned Wage Access, and Advancia doesn’t charge interest. For example:
A salaried employee who is normally paid at the end of the month, for example on the 28th, has earned approximately half of their salary by the 15th of the month but has to wait a further 2 weeks to be paid. Advancia’s platform closes the gap between earned wages and payday, allowing the employee to get an advance on their wages when they need it. Specific guidelines regarding when advances can be requested and the percentage of earned wages that can be advanced are set by the employer. Unlike payday loans or purchasing on credit, there is no additional financial stress placed on workers who use Advancia’s wage access service.
